Sam, 14, travels to China with her Mum, the well-known protester Dr Lee, a science writer and pacifist. Mum is asked to smuggle out of China proof of atomic underground testing in Tibet. Officially, that's spying, even if Mum believes it helps world peace. Sam starts imagining they are being watched... Ages 10-14.
